Make an Easy Pool Noodle Sprinkler

By Mary Shoemaker June 23, 2016
On hot summer days one of our favorite ways to cool off is with a homemade Pool Noodle Sprinkler. It's easy, takes less than 15 minutes and uses items you probably already have lying around your house. Plus, the kids can help, so be sure to get them involved and make this a family activity.

Watch this quick 60-second video for details or read below for instructions.

Here's what you'll need to gather from around your house.
  • Pool noodle
  • Heavy duty tape
  • Wine cork
  • Golf tees (one for each child who wants to help)

First use the wine cork to plug the end of the pool noodle.

Cover it with tape to prevent any water leakage.

Use a golf tee to poke lots of holes in the pool noodle. (The kids can help!) For a longer water stream, insert straws into the holes.

Finally, insert the hose into the opposite end and turn on the water.

That's it! These sprinklers can work hanging or lying on the ground, so play around to see what your family likes best. Have fun!
