Grab a Free Garden in a Bag and Plant for Fall!

By Springfield-Greene County Library District Press Release July 10, 2020

July 1, 2020 — It’s time to plant for fall, and the Library has lots of seeds to share.

You’re invited to take a “grab bag” of fall vegetable seeds at these branches beginning July 1, until we run out. They’re free, and no checkout is required.

Look for the Garden in a Bag display at the Library Center, Library Station, Midtown Carnegie Branch, the Mobile Library (van), Park Central Branch, Republic Branch, Schweitzer Brentwood Branch, and the Willard Branch Library.

The seeds were generously donated by Walmart and Wickman Gardens.

For more fall plantings, you can check out up to four packets of heirloom seeds for fall vegetable gardens at the Heirloom Seed Library in the Library Station and Midtown Carnegie Branch.
