What we love about Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park:
Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park is situated on 207 acres and is a great local attraction! The farm park was established as an educational and recreational space for the Springfield region. The farm park includes an animal barn that is home to a variety of animals, a visitor center and gift shop, a fun farm-themed playground, demonstration gardens, 20-acre native prairie, pastures, a fishing pond, and a one-mile paved trail along Wilson's Creek Greenway.
During your visit you can meet chickens, cows, goats, donkeys, ducks, pigs, sheep, turkeys, and miniature horses. If you look, you might meet barn cats, too!
Animal feed is available for purchase in the gift shop.
Want to give fishing a try? Take the kids fishing at the stocked fishing pond! Hourly fishing pole rentals are available in the gift shop.
Rentals include everything you'll need: fishing rods, reel, and bait.
Fishing is catch-and-release only. A fishing license is not required.
Rentals are $5.50 per person or $2 fee to bring your own equipment. Extra bait is available for $2.
Special Event throughout the Year: Easter at the Farm, Kids Fishing Fun Day, Harvest Fest, and Candy Cane Lane.
