3. Check Out the Fish Hatchery
The Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery is the largest trout-rearing facility operated by the MO Department of Conservation. It's completely free to visit, and it makes a great field trip. There are also hiking trails and picnic benches onsite, so you can make a day of it.
Note: the hatchery & conservation center are currently closed for renovations, but the walking trails and picnic areas remain open.
4. See What's Fresh at the Farmers Market
Farmers Market of the Ozarks operates Tuesday afternoons from April - October at the landing. Meet local food producers and artisans, check out some music, and know you're supporting your local community if you do decide to make a purchase.
5. Catch a Fountain Show at the Landing
Walk to the heart of the Branson Landing to see the amazing fountains anytime the temperatures are above freezing. Shows start at noon and continue hourly until 10pm (9pm on Sundays).
6. Check Out Dolly Parton's Horses
Dolly Parton's Stampede show isn't free, but you CAN meet the horses for free! Come to the theater and head down the Horse Walk to meet the horses. You might even catch their show riders prepping them for the show.
Youth baseball players from all over the country love to play at Branson's Ballparks of America because of the top-notch fields and amenities, but did you know that games are free to attend? Get the full baseball experience at one of the 5 replica MLB stadiums.
8. Get a New Perspective at Point Lookout
The perfect panoramic view of the Ozarks does exist, and you can get it at Point Lookout on the College of the Ozarks campus.
9. Learn About Branson's History
The Branson Centennial Museum features rotating exhibits throughout the year so you can see something new each time you visit! Admission is free but donations are accepted.
The whole family will love Sparky, the downtown Branson trolley. He makes 12 stops throughout the downtown area, and it's completely free to ride!
11. Drive on In
Cakes-N-Creams 50s diner is a blast from the past, including a Drive-In Replica screen. It's free to drive up and catch classic movies, trailers, and shows after dark!
