12 Pick-Your-Own Berry Farms in Springfield & Beyond

Where to Pick Your Own Berries in Springfield, Missouri: Family-Friendly U-Pick Farms in the Ozarks

By Macaroni KID Springfield MO April 18, 2024

It’s berry-picking season in the Ozarks, and that means it’s time to visit your favorite pick-your-own farms near Springfield, Missouri! Whether you're searching for sweet strawberries, juicy blueberries, or sun-ripened blackberries, there's nothing quite like gathering your own fresh fruit straight from the field.

At U-pick farms in Greater Springfield, families can enjoy a fun, hands-on way to support local agriculture while making lasting memories.

Before you head out to a Springfield MO berry farm, keep these tips in mind:

  • Always call ahead! Hours at pick-your-own berry farms in the Ozarks can change quickly due to weather, crop availability, and other seasonal factors.
  • Bring cash. Some farms in the Springfield area may not accept credit or debit cards, so it’s a good idea to have cash on hand.
  • Dress for the farm. Closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, bug repellent, and hats are all great ideas—especially for little ones. Be ready for mud if it's rained recently!
  • Check what’s in season. Strawberry season typically kicks off in May, followed by blueberries, blackberries, and other fruits throughout the summer.
