Springfield Ballet’s community outreach introduces every second grader in Springfield Public Schools to the magnificence of ballet through free, abridged performances of The Nutcracker, held at the historic Landers Theatre. Part of the Any Given Child initiative, the Springfield Ballet's 2nd Grade Performances Program has reached over 40,000 students, providing many with their first live theater experience. Springfield Ballet also offers in-school demonstrations, and field trip options at the Creamery Arts Center to engage students of all ages in the arts.
